The Mundaring Truffle Festival
The Mundaring Truffle Festival 1st to 5th August 2007 General Information The inaugural annual Mundaring Truffle Festival will be held in Mundaring, in the beautiful Perth Hills, from 1-5 August 2007.
There is a full programme of activities designed to highlight the truffle - (see below). This wonderful event will feature some of Australia's top chefs: Shannon Bennet, Alain Fabregues, Gabriel Gaté, Philippe Mouchel, Emanuel Mollois and Peter Manifis will be presenting master classes, and media coverage will be national and international.

The Loose Box Restaurant
Chef Alain Fabrègues is Chairman of the organising committee and holds several national and international awards for his culinary achievements and the quality of his restaurant, The Loose Box.
Little Caesars
Theo Kalogeracos has twice been named World's Best Pizza Maker, in New York and Las Vegas. His new restaurant in Mundaring will be opening in March 2007.
The Shire of Mundaring
The Shire of Mundaring is handling the Business and Financial Planning of the event along with Insurance and Risk Management. They have also supplied funding to launch the project.
The Shire of Manjimup
The Shire of Manjimup will be providing significant in kind support. This beautiful regional area is where much of the produce that will be available at the markets comes from.
York Olive Oil Company
Arnaud Courtin, owner and olive oil expert will be responsible for the Produce Markets. Arnaud has also been on the organising committee of the York Olive Oil Festival since 2004.
Perth Hills Vignerons Association
The Association has agreed to move its annual Wine Show forward to coincide with the Mundaring Truffle Festival.
Tourism WA
The Perth Regional Manager for Tourism WA, Ms Lesleigh Clarke has been part of the Committee since its inception, and will continue to provide support and advice.
EventsCorp
Mr John Kruiskamp from Events Corp has been assisting the committee in an advisory capacity for several months, and will continue to do so.
M Pierre-Jean Pebeyre, from SA Pebeyre in France.
This company manages the distribution of some 70% of the world truffle market. Mr Pebeyre will be in Mundring for the festival.

The Mundaring Arts Centre is currently finalizing an art exhibition that will run for the duration of the Truffle Festival. It will feature highly specialised botanical works on various types of funghi, including truffles.
